Erwin Schrott, one of the most exciting, charismatic, and acclaimed opera singers in the world, will perform on Sunday, February 3rd at 9:30 pm at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551). He has been a star at the Metropolitan Opera ever since he debuted there while still in his early twenties. For one very special night at 54 Below, look for Erwin up close and personal in our 150-seat space as he presents an evening centered around the tango. Erwin's award-winning CD Rojotango recently won the Echo Award, the European equivalent of the Grammy. After winning Placido Domingo's international voice competition Operalia in 1998, Erwin Schrott has been an operatic superstar, burning up the stages of all the important opera houses of the world in Milan, London, Vienna, Berlin, and Paris with his acclaimed portrayals of all the great Mozart roles such as Don Giovanni, Leporello, and Figaro.
