LON: STACY SULLIVAN TAKING PEGGY LEE TRIBUTE TO LONDON
Stacy Sullivan will bring her show "It's a Good Day/ A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee" toTHE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) for 7 performances on Tuesday through Saturday, February 5th through 9th (call for showtimes). She will be joined by Jon Weber on piano and Steve Doyle on bass. The show is an interpretive exploration of the extraordinary music and personal struggles of a singer, composer, and actress whose remarkable career spanned over six decades, influencing jazz and popular-music culture worldwide. Fresh with courageous takes on Peggy Lee's famous canon, including "Fever," "Johnny Guitar," "I Love Being Here With You," and the title song, "It's a Good Day." Sullivan joins forces with Weber and Doyle, to evoke Lee, but deftly apply their own stamp to each and every song. Call for cover/minimum information.
