Boston-based Jazz Cabaret singer Niki Luparelli will perform some of the most beloved 80s New Wave hits with a Vintage Cabaret Twist at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, December 7th at 11:30 pm. The 80s were a time of big hair, big shoulder pads, big business, and most importantly, big music. It's been nearly 30 years since Frankie told us all to relax and we learned girls just wanted to have fun. If you take away the over-production, the keytars, and the bangs, many of the songs make up a diverse and beautiful collection that deserve consideration in the Great American Songbook. Niki is joined by Dan Burke on piano, Kevin Hailey on upright bass, Johnny English on Sax, and Legs and Eggs Greg on drums. Special guest is 80s singing Pan Am Pilot Charlie Cockpit.
