NYC: SHRIMANI SENAY AT THE MET
Shrimani Senay will perform atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Wednesday night, September 12th at 7:00 pm. Shrimani presents a blue tinged jazz suite from Arlen to Winehouse inspired by an unscheduled stop back home in St. Louis. Shrimani Senay spent years in regional theater and TV playing an array of hookers, miscreants and occasional queen. She eventually 86'd her acting career and went to live in a monastery. Lately, the St. Louis native is serving up a witty mix of jazz and blues that is both old school and modern. Her eclectic song choices and well observed commentary evidence a point of view that is uniquely her own. This is her Metropolitan Room debut. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
