L.A.: "LORI DONATO AND THE BOYS" IS BACK AT THE CAVERN CLUB
Lori Donato, internationally-known singer, pianist, entertainer and recording artist, stars in the return engagement of her hit show LORI AND THE BOYS atTHE CAVERN CLUB THEATER (1920 Hyperion Avenue, Silverlake, CA - 800-838-3006) on Fridays, September 7th & 14th, Sunday, September 9th & Saturday, September 15th, all shows at 9:00 pm. This "Saucy New Cabertainment" starring Tod Macofsky, Perry Ojeda, and Jay Winger is devised and directed by Rob Bowers, whose exceptional talent includes not only staging the ensemble piece, but also creating some spectacular vocal arrangements. The show follows Lori's journey as she discovers a "home" in the world of Gay Piano Bars and savoring the music and friendships that changed her life. Featuring dazzling ensemble numbers, solos, duets, and trios with music and lyrics of more than fifty songwriters including Gershwin, Carmichael, Mercer, Hatch, Bernstein, Allison, Kern, Schwartz, and Arlen, representing Musical Theatre, the American Songbook, Jazz Classics, and Pop Hits. Dishing up everything from comedy sketches to heartfelt ballads, LORI AND THE BOYS provides a well-seasoned banquet highlighting Music, Friendship, Piano Bars, and "Arrangements While-U-Wait" while celebrating the joys and importance of Community.
