NYC: PARKER SCOTT & WELLS HANLEY CELEBRATE CD RELEASE
Internationally known actor-singer Parker Scott celebrates the release of his new CD "Selecting Souvenirs - An Intimate Journey through the Great American Songbook" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Sunday, November 13th at 7:00 pm. Parker is joined by arranger/ pianist Wells Hanley. The show is directed by Bistro Award-winning and MAC-Nominated director, Gerry Geddes. Selecting Souvenirs features songs by Richard Rodgers, Henry Mancini, John Denver, Hoagy Carmichael, Errol Garner, Lew Spence and Cole Porter among others. Parker's previous nightclub appearances include engagements at Danny's, Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex, Eighty-Eight's, and guest appearances at Judy's and The Metropolitan Room. He was the lead male vocalist aboard The Silver Whisper and sailed to 38 countries, along the way also giving performances in Camogli, Italy and St. Petersburg, Russia. Parker appeared as John Denver in Bring Me John Denver at the Granbury Opera House in Texas, where he delighted audiences and critics in a concert of John Denver songs. Parker made his New York City operatic debut as Father Chappelle and the Stage Doorman in The Ballad of Baby Doe at Chelsea Opera. He was most recently seen as Monsieur Triquet in Opera Slavica's production of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin. There is a $15 cover (which includes a copy of the CD) plus a 2-drink minimum.
