NE: AT LAST! THE FIRST CD OF LOVE SONGS SUNG BY MEN FOR MEN
"At Last!", the first CD of love songs, sung by gay men for gay men will be released at a CD Release Party at LYRIC RESTAURANT (43 Route 6A, Yarmouthport, MA - RESV: 508-776 -1340) on Sunday, November 13th at 4:00 pm. The CD was produced by Cape Cod Cabaret , a Yarmouth music agency that represents and books cabaret performers throughout New York and New England. The company's founder, Patricia Fitzpatrick, was the Director of Tourism in Provincetown during the time when same sex marriage became legal in Massachusetts. At Last! was recorded on Cape Cod at the REO Studios in Centerville. The pianists and singers are all gay men. At Last! introduces to music audiences a new singer, David Searle, from Gran Canaria as the featured vocalist. Searle performs duets with locally known and renowned top performer, Ralph Bassett as well as David Atkinson (former Selectman for Provincetown) and a New York City performer, Cuba's favorite son, Joey Infante. Pianist Glenn Stunner-Tate, was recently the Music Director at the Cotuit Center for the Arts production of 'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change". He is also the featured pianist on the CD. Fitzpatrick, with bass player and owner/engineer of REO Studios Ron Ormsby, will also entertain with songs from their latest CD "Basically Blue". At Last! includes 15 all time favorite love songs, including: We Kissed in the Shadows, Secret Love, Can't Help Loving That Man, There's A Place For Us and an iconic version of At Last! The locally produced CD will be available on line atwww.capecodcabaret.com after November 13th. It will be available on Amazon and CDBaby.com in 2012. There is a $25 cash cover, which includes a buffet, champagne and soft drinks, a First Edition of the CD and a live performance of At Last, the title track from the CD.
