Heartbeats of the World Inc. (http://www.howunited.org/ ) presents their Annual Benefit Presentation for Education and Health in hurricane devastated Jamaica at MERKIN CONCERT HALL (129 West 67th Street, NYC - 212-501-3330) on Wednesday, November 16th at 8:00 pm. The event features Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks with an entertaining musical evening of music from the 1920s, 30s, 40s. Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks are the quintessental performers of American Jazz, Dance and popular music of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. They have performed at most musical venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Smithsonian, the 92nd St Y, Cajun, the Red Blazer and at Jazz festivals throughout the world. The mission of Heartbeats of the World ("HOW") is to enrich the lives of women, adolescents, and children in underserved areas of the world by providing medical resources and educational opportunities to address poverty, unemployment and the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, and teenage pregnancy.
