NYC: DARYL SHERMAN AND JOE TEMPERLEY AT KNICKERBOCKER
Pianist/vocalist Daryl Sherman and Joe Temperley on baritone and soprano sax will start off the new year with a reprise of their special duo format on Friday & Saturday, January 7th & 8th with sets from 9:45 pm to 2:00 am at THE KNICKERBOCKER (33 University Place, NYC - 212-228-8490). Sherman's light expressive singing (reminiscent of Mildred Bailey and Blossom Dearie) along with her rhythmic swinging piano make a perfect foil for Joe Temperley, who continues to anchor the sax section of Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
