HERE & THERE - PART I
Putting this newsletter together today will be sort of a Herculean task. Usually I begin putting a newsletter together the day before, but yesterday I was sick, and I don't know exactly why. Not a cold, not a virus, just plain sick. So I literally spent the day alternating between attempting to sleep and racing to the bathroom (I'll spare you the details). The only solid food I ate was two pieces of toast with some "almost butter". No coffee, just water - about 2 gallons of water.
My friend Daniel, who had been trying to reach my via e-mail (cell phone was disconnected again), arrived via Subway from Queens at 1:00 am and ran and got some vitamin drink for me at the all-night deli across the street, which sort of perked me up a bit (though I'm not a big fan of pomegranate). Today I was up at 6:00 am and feeling fit and raring to go. But, meantime, over 40 additional news release items were received Sunday & Monday that I haven't even read yet.
So, for this week, we're going to try to include all the immediate news items we can, including shows running ads and/or offering discounts to members) and we will go back to including additional news items in the WEEKEND ISSUE on Thursday, at least until we can catch up on all items through July 24th. Next week we hope to go back to "news Mondays" and "commentary Thursdays."
Only 8 tickets remain for our Gala on the 13th, but folks who can't make the show but wish to send their congratulations (or folks who want to promote a CD or upcoming cabaret event) can still support us by purchasing an ad in the program booklet. Cost is just $25 for a quarter page (and price per quarter is reduced the more you order). All the cover pages are now sold - full pages for the rest of the book are just $75, half pages are $45. Space is limited. Deadline is July 6th. For specs and to order, just click here:
All proceeds from the gala go to support CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE during the lean summer months when ad income drops to nearly zero (we currently have only two paid banners running instead of the normal 15, so we're really hurting this year).
Big thank you to David Hurst of NEXT magazine for the blurb about our CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE 20th ANNIVERSARY GALA - you can read it onlineHERE
Is CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE writing about you on TWITTER? Each day we promote some of the best cabaret events around the world via TWITTER and also on the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE BLOG . The items are taken from the home page of the website which also changes every day. But you won't know what we're saying about you if you don't follow us.
