D.C.: JOE PECK AND TOM NICHOLS AT SOUNDS OF HOPE
Joe Peck and Tom Nichols will be appearing on Friday, July 23rd at Sounds of Hope, a benefit concert series that happens every Friday night from 7:00 to 10:30 pm at THE POTTER'S HOUSE (1658 Columbia Road NW, Washington, DC - 202-232-5483). Joe Peck is a singer/songwriter whose music can best be described as alternative infused with blues, folk, country and pop. He had performed as a vocalist on various stages and in various genres, interpreting many different kinds of songs - pop, country, standards, blues, musical theatre. Over the years, Tom Nichols has moved from hiding behind other folk's songs, to composing and performing his own. His two simple rules have always been (1) Just do it! (whether at church, concert venue, smoke-filled bar, or home concert, and (2) always stretch yourself outside your comfort zone. Open Circle is the DC-area's critically acclaimed non-profit theatre dedicated to showcasing professional artists with disabilities (on and off stage) in an integrated setting.
