BOS: SOPHIA BILIDES IN "A CHANGE OF SKY"
Boston vocalist Sophia Bilides celebrates her 10th year of singing cabaret at SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB (400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111 - ), with her 10th new show "A CHANGE OF SKY" on Wednesday, June 16th at 8:00 pm. The show is about change & moving forward, featuring songs ranging from the timeless wisdom & witticisms of Johnny Mercer, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Sammy Cahn, & Yip Harburg, to the contemporary outlooks of Stephen Sondheim, Chris Brubeck, Stephen Schwartz, Babbie Green, John Bucchino, Annie Lennox, & more. She is joined by Doug Hammer on piano. Bilides is an IRNE Award Winner for Best Female Cabaret Performer (Independent Reviewers Of New England), and a MAC Award Nominee. She appears annually at Scullers Jazz Club in Boston, and has also performed at The Regattabar in Cambridge, Danny's Skylight Room in New York, Le Dome in New Jersey, and other venues.
