LONDON: THE CRAZY COQS PRESENTS STEFAN BEDNARCZYK

One of London's most popular artists, Stefan Bednarczyk, returns to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) with his show AN EVENING OF FLANDERS AND SWANN, a tribute to Michael Flanders and Donald Swann, the hilarious and hugely talented writers and performers popular in the 50s and 60s on Tuesday through Saturday, June 23rd through 27th at 8:00 pm. The show was originally commissioned in 1995 by the widows of Flanders and Swann, premiering in the West End and going on to be performed all over the world. Claudia Flanders regarded Bednarczyk as the finest interpreter of her late husband's work. Between 1956 and 1967, Flanders and Swann toured Britain and abroad, performing songs and comic monologues in their long-running two-man revues At the Drop of a Hat and At the Drop of Another Hat. Bednarczyk is an actor, Musical Director and cabaret performer. His extensive credits as Musical Director include shows at prestigious venues all over London, and as a solo cabaret performer he has enjoyed seasons in London, New York and many major European cities. He has also performed two sell-out runs at Crazy Coqs with the actress Anne Reid in their Comden and Green show Just In Time. Call for cover/minimum information.

LONDON: LATE NIGHT JAZZ: ROBIN PHILLIPS AT THE CRAZY COQS

Robin Phillips performs at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Saturday, June 27th at 10:30 pm as part of the club's Late Night Jazz Series. Robin Phillips' passionate performances are as informative as they are engaging. With Jay Darwish on upright bass and Alex Best on drums, this energetic trio hark back to a golden age of jazz, whilst maintaining a distinctly modern edge. Inspired by singer / instrumentalists such as Harry Connick Jr and Chet Baker, and jazz vocalists such as Mark Murphy, Mel Torme and Jon Hendricks, Robin's current passion is unearthing the lost introductions to many of the classic jazz standards. The trio will be performing a collection of classic and lesser known jazz standards, many re-arranged with a modern feel, including material from Robin's two previous albums. Call for cover/minimum information.

LONDON: LEE MEAD AT THE PHEASANTRY

Lee Mead returns to THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017) for three nights, Friday through Sunday, June 26th through 28th at 8:30 pm following his very successful concerts at the club in 2014. Lee really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere at the venue last year and is looking forward to showcasing some new songs for his fans prior to his 2015 tour as well as some old favourites. Get up close and personal with Lee and his band, come along and enjoy some beautiful music from his extensive repertoire of songs and soak up the atmosphere at the Pheasantry in the heart of Chelsea. Call for cover/minimum information.
