CHICAGO: OUT AND PROUD: A RAINBOW CELEBRATION WITH MELISSA YOUNG AND NICK SULA

Celebrate Pride Month with Melissa Young & Nick Sula as they return to DAVENPORT'S(1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) with Young's historical hit, OUT AND PROUD: A Rainbow Celebration on Wednesday, June 17th & Saturday, June 20th, both shows at 8:00 pm. Starting with the Stonewall Riot & the death of Judy Garland, Young will follow the Gay Rights timeline, matching Icons to significant moments in Gay history, ending at the Equal Marriage fight of today. Icons of the times, Cher, Judy Garland, Dolly Parton, Bette Midler, Diana Ross, Madonna and many more, will be included! Nick Sula is back with Young this time around at the piano and Daryl Nitz, of Chicago's longest running cabaret show, The Nitz Howe Experience, directs. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

CHICAGO. IL: IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR: FRANK SINATRA CENTENNIAL BIRTHDAY

In honor of Frank Sinatra's 100th birthday, music from his Columbia, Capital, and Reprise catalogue will be performed atTHE SKOKIE THEATRE (7924 Lincoln Avenue, Skokie, IL - 847-677-7761) on Saturday, June 20th at 8:00 pm. Performers include Steve Biossat, Mark Madsen, Bob Moreen, Paul Motondo, and Daryl Nitz. Musical direction by Johnny Rodgers with Jim Cox on bass and Phil Gratteau on drums. Over 20 songs will be featured including I've Got the World on a String, Young at Heart, All the Way, Nice N Easy, Witchcraft, Let's Fall in Love, Night and Day, The Best is Yet to Come, Fly Me to the Moon, It Was A Very Good Year, Strangers in the Night, Summer Wind, That's Life, and•My Way. There is a $32 cover.

FEATURED CABARET ORGANIZATION EVENT

TCCAN - The Twin Cities Cabaret Artists Network presents a Cabaret Salon on the 3rd Saturday each month at BLANCHE'S LOUNGE AT THE TOWN HOUSE (1415 University Avenue, West, St. Paul, MN - 651-646-7087). For this month, on Saturday, June 20th at 7:30 pm (note time change). Member/performers include Heidi Ziman, Oron Stenesh, Connie Dussl, Dean Elwell, Erin Livingston, Rhonda Laurie & Jennifer Eckes with Steven Hobert taking us along at piano. Full bar and menu available. $10 donation encouraged.
