INDIANAPOLIS, IN: STEVE KAZEE TO CHARM THE CABARET

Tony and Grammy Award winner, Steve Kazee brings his guitar and southern charm to THE CABARET AT THE COLUMBIA CLUB (121 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN - 317-275-1169) on Saturday, August 23rd with shows at 7:00 & 9:30 pm for an intimate evening of original alt-country songs as well as songs he originated in the Tony Award winning musical, Once. Steve Kazee was born in Ashland, Kentucky and attended Fairview High School before moving to New York City in 2002 where he earned an MFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2012 Steve won a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Male Actor in Musical as well as a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for his work in the Broadway production of Once. There is a $35-$65 cover plus a $12 food/drink minimum.

CHICAGO: CARA DAWN AT DAVENPORT'S: TRUE COLORS

Cara Dawn brings her show "True Colors" to DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Friday & Saturday, August 22nd & 23rd at 8:00 pm. The 80s are sometimes referred to as the "lost" generation. For Cara Dawn the 80s were more than neon leggings and big hair, it was a time of inspiration and growth. Come re-explore this era through the music Cara loves! Songs by Pat Benatar, Basia, Lisa Stansfield, Doobie Bros. and Cyndi Lauper to name a few. Joining her on stage are Andrew Blendermann (piano), Jeff Smith (bass) and Eric Brown (guitar). There is a $12 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

CHICAGO: BILL LARKIN SATURDAYS AT DAVENPORT'S

Bill Larkin has something to say but has nothing to say in his show at DAVENPORT'S(1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Saturdays in August at 10:30 pm. By "nothing to say" he means he's stunned about the things he has to say. So he actually has a lot to say, but nothing to say Join him in this one-hour show of original music and comedy! Bill received the Jeff Award last year for his performance in Porchlight Music Theatre's "A Class Act". He has performed his comedy songs at Second City, the Green Mill, Howl at the Moon and now returns to Davenport's. There is a $14 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
