LONDON: ELAINE DELMAR AT CRAZY COQS

Elaine Delmar returns to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Tuesday through Saturday, June 17th through 21st at 8:00 pm. She is joined by Brian Dee on piano and Simon Thorpe on bass. Elaine is one of the greatest female jazz vocalists to have come from these shores, with an innate understanding of her repertoire and an expression of dynamic simplicity. She builds each performance with sure- footed musicianship and thrills her audiences with her sublime delivery of gems from the great American Songbook. In her return shows at The Crazy Coqs, she will be singing some songs from her London and Broadway musical appearances, including Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, The Trolley Song and Begin the Beguine, Elaine has combined successfully singing with acting, notably in London shows such as Finians Rainbow, No Strings, Cowardy Custard and Bubbling Brown Sugar, as well as Jerome Kern goes to Hollywood both in London and on Broadway.

LONDON: THAT TRING THING 'STUDENTS PAST AND PRESENT IN CABARET'

Cabaret trailblazer Paul L Martin introduces a host of talented students - both past and present - from Tring Park School for the Performing Arts at THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017 - ) on Wednesday, June 18th at 8:30 pm. The show is an evening of music, comedy and song with Musical Direction from Simon Sharp. Call for cover/minimum information.
