LOS ANGELES: SALLY KELLERMAN AT THE GARDENIA
Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee for her most famous role as "Hot Lips Houlihan" in Robert Altman's 1970 classic film, M*A*S*H, Sally Kellerman brings her latest show, "The Eclectic Sally Kellerman," to THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Thursday, June 19th at 9:00 pm. Miss Kellerman's acting range has been demonstrated in over 60 movies - 20 in which she starred - with leading men as diverse as Sir Laurence Olivier (A Little Romance) and Rodney Dangerfield (Back to School.) Her richly modulated, seductively velvety voice has also been put to good use in voice-over work, and serves her well in a newer phase of her career which allows her to follow her long time passion: singing. She returns to The Gardenia after a several year absence. Call for cover/minimum information.
SAN FRANCISCO: 10,000 MANIACS AT YOSHI'S
The alternative rock band 10,000 Maniacs will perform atYOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Thursday, June 19th at 8:00 pm. One of the most critically acclaimed bands of the last three decades, 10,000 Maniacs were founded by Robert Buck, Dennis Drew, Steven Gustafson, John Lombardo and Natalie Merchant in the fall of 1981. Jerry Augustyniak joined in 1983. Together with artists like R.E.M. they defined college rock and created the first wave of alternative rock bands and what became known as the alternative rock format on FM radio. Writing and performing powerful, danceable and socially conscious original material in and around their hometown of Jamestown, New York the group toured extensively and produced two independently released records, Human Conflict Number Five ('82) and Secrets of the I Ching ('83) on their own Christian Burial Music label. By producing, manufacturing and marketing their own recordings 10,000 Maniacs were the original "indie" band before signing with Elektra Records and making The Wishing Chair in 1985 with producer Joe Boyd (Fairport Convention, Nick Drake). After touring extensive with REM and though out Europe John Lombardo left the band in July of 1986 and the band continued as a 5 piece. There is a $45-$69 cover.

Acclaimed performer & YouTube sensation, Christina Bianco brings her versatile vocals and celebrity impressions to the West Coast andFEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) on Thursday & Friday, June 19th & 20th at 8:00 pm. Her show 'Diva Moments' is made up of songs that made divas out of the women who sang them. From Barbra Streisand to Celine Dion to Judy Garland, no celebrity is safe! Musical Direction is by Michael Orland. Praised for her work in Forbidden Broadway and Newsical The Musical, Drama Desk Award nominated actress Christina Bianco will perform these beloved songs in her own voice, as well as impersonating the great divas themselves! Song selections range from Broadway classics to well-known standards and popular hits, including: Somewhere Over The Rainbow, What Did I Have That I Don't Have, Last Dance and a few Forbidden Broadway gems. There is a $50 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
