CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: WESSELL "WARMDADDY" ANDERSON SEXTET

Wessell "Warmdaddy" Anderson Sextet (Wessell "Warmdaddy" Anderson, alto saxophone; Wess Anderson IV, trombone; Sullivan Fortner, piano; Nathan Brown, bass; Zane Rodulfo, drums; Ed Perkin, vocals) will perform atDIZZY'S CLUB AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER (33 West 60th Street, NYC - 212-258-9595) on Monday & Tuesday, January 6th & 7th with shows at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. Brooklyn native Wessell "Warmdaddy" Anderson is a former long-time member of both the Wynton Marsalis Septet and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and he is a superb bandleader in his own right. This winter he brings us a new group, featuring his son Wess Anderson IV on trombone and a diverse band spanning multiple generations. Expect a nice selection of straight ahead jazz and bop, with vocals by New Orleans native Ed Perkins and a spotlight on Anderson's athletic saxophone playing. There is a $35 cover.
