CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: EDDIE BRUCE RETURNS TO NEW YORK WITH "A MEDLEY OF MEDLEYS"
After being a hit this fall as a guest singer with The Philly POPS' 60-piece orchestra, Eddie Bruce returns to New York to perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for one night only on Tuesday, January 7th at 7:00 pm. Eddie has created a new show that is packed with great music, more than anyone could include typically in a one-hour show. This great entertainer is calling his new show: "A Medley of Medleys." Bruce has medleys that are tributes to such composers as Sammy Cahn, Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, Burt Bachrach and Jimmy Webb. There are medleys that are connected because, for example, they may say the same thing but have totally different titles. Some of the songs running through various medleys include "Come Fly with Me" and "Teach Me Tonight" from Sinatra's swingin' years, a medley called Berlin Bossas by Bruce with unique arrangements of such favorites as "They Say It's Wonderful," "Change Partners" and "Isn't it a Lovely Day". More glimpses into the show are "What's New Pussycat" and selections of "MacArthur Park". There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
