CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: THE MYRON WALDEN MOMENTUM AT DIZZY'S
The Myron Walden Momentum with Myron Walden, tenor saxophone; Darren Barrett, trumpet; Eden Ladin, piano; Yasushi Nakamura, bass; and Mark Whitfield Jr., drums, will perform at DIZZY'S CLUB AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER (33 West 60th Street, NYC - 212-258-9595) on Tuesday & Wednesday, November 5th & 6th with shows at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. Myron Walden is celebrating the release of his third album leading the fluid, energetic band Momentum, a group inspired in part by Miles Davis' essential 1960s quintet. Lauded for their live performances (and previous live album), the group's performance at Dizzy's coincides with the release of a new 4-CD set, Myron Walden Momentum Live: Our Sound. Momentum is an outlet for Walden's intellectual side and it's truly captivating how the group balances his intricate compositional details with the space needed to highlight such outstanding soloists.
