NYC: BRONWYN RUCKER'S 'FROLICS FOLLIES GAIETIES VANITIES AND SCANDALS' RETURN

GOOD NEWS! Bronwyn Rucker's 'Frolics Follies Gaieties Vanities and Scandals' will return on Monday, October 21st! This long-running open mic and variety show was forced to seek a new home when the IDO SUSHI RESTAURANT suddenly closed on Labor Day weekend. Well Bronwyn set right to work and found a new space, just up the block: MR. DENNEHY'S RESTAURANT (63 Carmine Street - Between Bedford & Bleecker - NYC - 212-414-1223)! The Follies will be held in the downstairs room from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Bronwyn will serve as host, with Jim Allen at the piano. Poets, Actors, Singers, Writers, Musicians, Magicians, All Welcome! Everyone is invited to drop in, sing a song, meet new friends and have a fun time in the Village. No cover.

NYC: TIM DI PASQUA WITH THE SONGS OF TIM DI PASQUA

On Monday, October 21st at 7:00 pm at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) you can intimate evening of the music of Tim Di Pasqua. He will be singing and playing a 60-minute set which will include some familiar songs from his catalog along with brand new tunes and some songs from new theater projects he is creating. He will be joined by Matt Sharfglass on bass. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

FEATURED CABARET BENEFIT EVENT

Fresh off their latest benefit performance, which raised over $40,000 for charity, Ben Houghton & Leigh Emery are at it again with a night of original songs, classic "throwbacks," and just a bit too much information at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438). Performance is at 9:30 pm. Don't miss the chance to get a little fresh, all while giving back! All net proceeds from the show will go to charity. NYC: THE COMEDY OF DANA GOLDBERG

Dana Goldberg will present an evening of stand-up comedy atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Monday, October 21st at 7:00 pm. Dana Goldberg is a force of nature on stage, and sets the standard for smart comedy, and her timing and tongue-in-cheek edginess is why she continues to collect loyal fans in cities all over the world. Goldberg started her comedy career in 2003 in front of 650 people in a sold out theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Seven months into her career she was invited to Scotland by Emmy Award Winning writer Paul Wagner to perform with 13 other American comedians as part of the US Comedy Invasion at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh. After returning to the states Goldberg began competing in festivals and competitions all over the country. In 2006, just three years after she stepped onto the stage for the first time, Goldberg put on a producer's hat and started the Annual Southwest Funnyfest in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JOSEPH MACCHIA'S BROADWAY ON 22ND STREET

Broadway On 22nd Street returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Monday, October 21st at 9:30 pm for its Third Smash Year. Conceived and Produced by Joseph Macchia, Broadway On 22nd Street is a bimonthly series that brings some of Broadways most talented singers down to the Metropolitan Room. Guests on the 21st include Broadway performers James Harkness, Michelle Dowdy, Jim Brochu, Karen Burthwright and Michael McAssey, who will also serve as musical director. Each performer will perform a four song mini set. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: CAITLIN CASSIDY AND MICHAEL MALIAKEL AT THE BEECHMAN

Vocalists Caitlin Cassidy and Michael Maliakel reunite on Monday, October 21st at 7:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909 - ). The duo will present a night of song that explores the thrill of new beginnings and the lessons learned from what's left behind - a fitting theme for their NYC cabaret debut. The show will feature live musicians, classic arrangements, and fresh tales on familiar tunes. There is a $15 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: DORKS, DRUNKS, AND DINOSAURS: THE SONGS OF JEFF BIENSTOCK

Dorks, Drunks, and Dinosaurs: The Songs of Jeff Bienstock will be presented at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909 - ) on Monday, October 21st at 9:30 pm. The show is an evening of music, lyrics, characters, and stories created by the multifaceted and award-winning dramatist Jeff Bienstock. The show will feature a veritable Who's Who of Broadway and Off-Broadway talent, including cast members from Avenue Q, Forbidden Broadway, Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, NEWSical, the upcoming Little Miss Sunshine, and more! NYC: PRINCESSES THE MUSICAL - A CLASS REUNION

Lindsay Mendez (Broadway's Elphaba), Sierra Boggess (Broadway's Little Mermaid), Patti Murin (Broadway's Lysistrata Jones), Marissa Perry (Broadway's Tracy Turnblad), and Jenny Fellner (Broadway's Sophie in Mamma Mia) will appear at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Monday, October 21st at 7:00 pm in 'Princesses The Musical - A Class Reunion'. Ten years ago this October, they all began their New York careers as Princesses. Npw all these ladies plus Brent Barrett, Donna English, Anne Letscher and more TBA reunite to celebrate in song and story the beloved show that brought them all together: Princesses - The Musical. Written by Tony winner David Zippel (City of Angels, Disney's Hercules), Oscar and Grammy nominee Matthew Wilder (Disney's Mulan) and Emmy and Golden Globe winners Cheri & Bill Steinkellner (Cheers, Sister Act - The Musical), Princesses follows a group of jaded private-school girls forced by their teacher to put on a show. NYC: LATE NIGHT: THE CALLBACK: PRELIMINARIES

Join Emily McNamara and accompanist Benjamin Rauhala at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday night, October 21st at 11:30 pm for this season's next round of The Callback: Semi-Finals, 6 contestants (3 Audience Favorites and 3 Wildcards) will perform a five minute set in front of a panel of surprise guest judges. The winner will be chosen based on audience vote and will progress to The Final Callback and win their own show at 54 Below. NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
