Multiple award winning and critically acclaimed artists Karen Oberlin and T. Oliver Reid join forces to present "The Art of Frank Sinatra & Billie Holiday" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sundays, October 13th, 20th & 27th at 7:00 pm. Jon Weber serves as musical director. In 1915, it was a very good year. Not only did this year give us Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas A. Watson having the first telephone conversation from New York to San Francisco, the establishment of the US Coast Guard and the Rocky Mountain State Park but most importantly, the births of two American musical treasures ... Eleanora Fagan and Francis Sinatra, a.k.a. Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra. Now you can take this journey with Karen Oberlin and T. Oliver Reid, through the lows and highs of these two powerhouses. The American music scene had never seen two such diverse people sing so singularly, the pop and jazz standards of the 30s, 40s and 50s. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
