CABARET TONIGHT IN DETROIT: AMANDA McBROOM OPENS CABARET 313 SEASON
Cabaret 313 series presents Amanda McBroom performing "Let's Fall in Love," on Saturday, October 26th at newly revitalized MADISON BUILDING (1555 Broadway, Detroit, MI - TKTS:www.cabaret313.org ). There will be shows at 7:30 and 10:15 pm with a reception and complimentary hors d'oeuvres beginning 45 minutes before each show. In "Let's Fall in Love," McBroom ponders the dark and light sides of romance. Singing a carefully chosen blend of originals and standards from songwriters such as Jacques Brel, Cole Porter, and Jerome Kern, McBroom mixes in a gentle blend of personal anecdote, philosophy and, of course, humor. She offers an unusually direct and honest vision of life. McBroom's long-time collaborator and music director, Michele Brourman, will accompany her on the piano. Preferred seating is available and tickets may be purchased at www.cabaret313.org . CABARET 313! is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, organized to foster the art form of cabaret through performances and educational collaborations, while helping to deepen connections to the city of Detroit by audience members. A series of world-class cabaret singers, carefully selected to appeal to a broad range of Metropolitan Detroit audiences, will perform in varied venues around the city over the course of each year.
