CABARET TONIGHT IN MARYLAND: GRIFF KAZ AT BETHESDA BLUES
Trumpeter Griff Kaz will perform at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Wednesday, August 14th at 7:30 pm. Originally from Buffalo, New York, Griffith Kazmierczak has quickly become one of the most sought after trumpet players in the greater D.C. area. A recent graduate of the University of Maryland in College Park, he has already started making waves in the D.C. Jazz Scene. The Seventh Septet is a cutting edge ensemble of some of the best young musicians in the D.C. area. Originally gathered for Griff's senior recital, the resulting sounds were quite impressive, earning praise from D.C.'s CapitalBop, and an exciting performance at the Jazz Loft series. The group will feature many of Griff's original compositions which have been praised by critics, listeners, and musicians alike. The lush four-horn texture of the ensemble draws out his uniquely melodic and complex harmonies. There is a $10 cover.
