ONT: THE JOE SEALY TRIO AT THE JAZZ BISTRO
The Joe Sealy Trio (with Paul Novotny on bass and Mark Kelso on drums) will perform as the opening act for Toronto's newest jazz venue THE JAZZ BISTRO(251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) Thursday through Saturday, April 4th, 5th & 6th at 9:00 pm. On the 5th the trio will be joined by elegant crooner Colin Hunter and saxophonist Perry White. On Saturday, the 6th, they will be joined by the delightful Barbara Lica and saxophonist Mike Murley. For more than five decades Joe Sealy has enjoyed a successful career as a musician, actor, composer, music director and recording artist. During this time he has been featured on numerous television shows, toured throughout North America and Europe, worked with many major names in the entertainment industry including Sammy Davis Jr., John Candy and jazz greats Joe Williams and Milt Jackson, and won some of Canada's most prestigious awards. Joe's television appearances have included such programs as Adrienne Clarkson presents, "The Spirit of Africville", Jazzman and Hallelujah, while his musical director credits include the highly acclaimed Tonya Lee Williams Gospel Jubilee television special, CBC's 75th Anniversary Gala at the Glenn Gould Studio, and most recently The Children's Aid Foundation fundraiser at the Carlu. There is a $15 cover.
