NYC: KEITH DAMES IN "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LADY DAY"
Vocalist Keith Dames brings his annual homage to Billie Holiday "Happy Birthday, Lady Day" to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, April 6th at 7:00 pm. Dames plans to repeat this show annually up to Billie Holiday's centennial in 2015. Mr. Dames considers himself a student of the Billie Holiday School of Music and is a Billie Holiday disciple who honors her as more than just a singer, but also as an actress, composer, bandleader, pioneer, trailblazer and the true American music legend, heroine and icon that she really and truly is. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
