L.A.: BYRON NEASE IN "THE PHANTOM ... WITHOUT THE OPERA"
Broadway leading man, Byron Nease, will bring his show "The Phantom ... without the Opera" to CATALINA JAZZ CLUB (6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210) on Thursday, April 4th at 8:00 pm. The show features John Proulx (Grammy Award winner) on piano; David Sills on saxophone, flute; and Lori Moran as special guest vocalist. Byron's cabaret show promises to be entertaining, uplifting and touching, and includes some of the most beautiful music ever written for stage and screen. M. Moran will be joining him near the end of the program to sing a few duets, including "All I Ask of You" (from Phantom), and another Andrew Lloyd Webber favorite, "Unexpected Song". Byron is known primarily for his very successful run in Phantom of the Opera (he played Raoul, and then returned as The Phantom years later), and for his highly acclaimed published autobiographical "Beyond The Mask...No More: A Phantom Star's Journey Through Love, Abuse, Fame, Loss to Re-Invention". There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
