NYC: ZIG ZAG QUARTET AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
The ZigZag Quartet will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, April 6th at 11:30 pm. Their recent performances have included Lincoln Center's Target Free Thursdays at the David Rubenstein Atrium and Meet the Artists Series at Walter Reade Theater and Stanley Kaplan Penthouse, Jazz WinterFest, Mannes College Guitar Festival, Brooklyn College, New Jersey City University, Bargemusic, Bryant Park and Trinity Church in Wall Street. Latin Soul: From their encore performance last Fall at Lincoln Center, the ZigZag Quartet will take the audience on a journey to find the threads of tango, salsa, samba, capoeira and the cha-cha, through classical, jazz, and popular music. And more latin influences abound with top ballroom dancers Carolina Jaurena and Diego Blanco who bring the music to life with their smooth moves and versatility. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
