NYC: RYAN SCOTT OLIVER PRESENTS THE REHEARSAL ROOM
As part of the "Landmark Wednesdays" series of concerts at the historic SIDEWALK CAFE (94 Avenue A, NYC - 212-473-7373), composer-lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver will host and present an evening of new musical theatre by emerging songwriters, their work performed by up-and-coming New York actors on Wednesday, December 19th with performances at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Writers represented will be John Michael Lyles, David Gomez, Charles Franklin, Addison O'Donnell, Aaron Albert, Katy Rea, and Kailey Marshall. Ryan Scott Oliver is a 2011 Lortel Award Nominee, 2009 Jonathan Larson Grant Recipient, 2008 Rodgers Award Winner, a 2007 Dramatists Guild Fellow, and most recently, the recipient of a 2012 Weston Playhouse Residency. The Landmark Wednesdays series, curated by Jim Caruso, who has hosted Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Birdland since 2002, is a new addition to SideWalk Cafe's weekly roster of live entertainment. The series will present established theater and jazz artists in SideWalk's intimate performance space, which traditionally has been one of the city's most supportive incubators for emerging talent. There is a $15 cover plus a 1-drink minimum.
