NYC: LET US REJOICE 2012 AT THE METROPOLITAN
The Holidays are upon us, and Lettuce Rejoice 2012 has arrived at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440)! Hedda's crisp comedy and delicious song parodies have madethis festive celebration a hit for the past eleven years. Performances are Sundays, December 16th (9:30 pm) and 23rd (4:00 & 9:30 pm); Wednesday, the 19th at 7:00 pm; and Saturday, December 22nd & 29th at 9:30 pm. Trademark parody abounds with songs like 'Here Comes Tranny Clause'. The classic song 'Sleigh Ride', in Hedda's hands turns into a gay mans quest for sex on Grinder, and 'Do You Hear What I Hear' is now, 'Do You Think That He's Queer,' about a fag hag desperately seeking a sexual relationship with a gay man. Plus, a holiday homage to the recently departed Amy Winehouse. There is a $22 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
