Back by popular demand, the gifted Ann Hampton Callaway makes her triumphant return to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Friday & Saturday, November 23rd & 24th at 8:30 pm. This time she presents "Written by Ann Hampton Callaway", an evening featuring her very own musical compositions. She will be backed by the Ted Rosenthal Trio. The pianist, composer, lyricist, arranger and actress is sure to weave a spell in a night filled with songs that have won her multi Platinum Awards and the hearts of music lovers around the world. Her musical compositions have appeared on no fewer than six of Barbra Streisand's more recent CDs, and she's the only composer to have ever collaborated with Cole Porter. Well known for writing & performing the theme song to the hit television show, The Nanny, Ann made her Broadway debut starring in the acclaimed musical, Swing! One of America's most gifted improvisers, Ann will cap off the night creating a song on the spot taking words and phrases from the audience.
