NYC: MIRA AWAD RETURNS TO NEW YORK TO REPRISE "ARABIC FUSION"
The internationally acclaimed Arab-Israeli singer/songwriter and actress Mira Awad reprises "Arabic Fusion" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for one night only, on Tuesday November 20th at 7:00 pm. After performing with the Israeli star Achinoam Nini at Jazz at Lincoln Center in March, Mira premiered this highly original solo show in April, in her Metropolitan Room debut. Singing songs that reflect her unique perspective as a Palestinian Arab citizen of Israel, Mira weaves together her passions for folk, rock and traditional Middle Eastern music. The result is a unique tapestry of sounds and songs (many of which are original) in English and Arabic. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
