L.A.: GARY KAPLAN MAKES SOLO CABARET DEBUT AT THE GARDENIA
Gary Kaplan makes his solo debut at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Saturday, November 24th at 9:00 pm. Kaplan grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island, and is a graduate of Rhode Island College, where he majored in Theatre. Moving to Los Angeles in 1988 to pursue a career in acting, he soon found himself teaching English as a Second Language to adult students, which he does to this day. Never giving up his dream of being an entertainer, Gary continued to pursue musical interests both in the Jewish community and in other local groups. After beginning to study voice again (with studio singer and teacher Gerald White,) Gary began to perform in several open mikes in the Hollywood area, most notably at the Gardenia and the Hollywood Studio Bar and Grill, where he has performed two showcases. Gary is very honored to be making his solo cabaret debut at The Gardenia, which has become his home away from home. Call for cover/minimum information.
