SF: DANCE DISCO HEAT "A TRIBUTE TO THE FABULOUS SYLVESTER"
"A Tribute To The Fabulous Sylvester" starring Phillip Ramirez will be presented atRRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189) on Friday & Saturday, October 5th & 6th at 10:30 pm. The show will rediscover the love, the joy and the magic of the 70s dance floor in this world premiere musical suggested by the life of the icon in disco diva and San Francisco resident Sylvester from the struggles of finding acceptance to his first moments of fame, meeting the love of his life and the onset of the AIDS epidemic. Professional recording artist and actor Phillip Ramirez will emulate but not imitate Sylvester, singing some of his greatest hits, such as "You Make Me Feel Mighty Real" and Do You Wanna Funk?" while pleasing the audience with his comedic and dramatic character, OCTAVIUS. Phillip is backed by three talented divas, known as the Mega Girls.who bring to life the unique vocal sound of the disco era. It promises to live the highs and lows, ups and downs, and most of all the great music. Directed by Amy Jo Martin. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
