Harold Sanditen makes his THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) debut with his international hit, SHADES OF BLUE, on Thursday & Friday, October 4th & 5th at 7:00 pm. In his comic and soulful way, Harold not only sings some blues, but also has fun with the variety of meanings the word 'blue' has taken on, using the words and music of Billie Holiday, Dizzie Gillespie, Jon Hendricks, Diets and Schwartz, Neil Sedaka, Stevie Nicks, Dave Frishberg, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Noel Coward and Irving Berlin, to name a few. This is another sensationally fun evening from this exciting performer. Directed by Barry Kleinbort, the show has Michael Roulston on piano, Tom Hubbard on bass, Jeremy Clayton on reeds and Susan Aquila on violin. After 20 years as a London based theatre producer, Oklahoma born Harold Sanditen began singing professionally in 2008, and has never looked back. Since then he has performed 4 cabaret shows - THE SCRET OF LIFE, LOVE: EXPOSED, THOUGHTS 'ROUND MIDNIGHT and SHADES OF BLUE, which have sold out venues in London, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego and Palm Springs. His newest show, SHADES OF BLUE, is primarily jazz and blues arrangements of songs which have some relation to the word blue. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. $15 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
