NYC: ANNA BERGMAN: YOU & THE NIGHT & THE MUSIC
Acclaimed international concert and cabaret artist Anna Bergman returns toFEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel(540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095) on Monday, October 15th, plus Sundays & Mondays, October 21st & 22nd, and 28th & 29th at 8:00 pm with her show "You & the Night & the Music: An Evening of Musical Imports & Exports". This show features her musical director and arranger Alex Rybeck, Jered Egan on bass and is directed by Jeff Harnar. In the show, Ms. Bergman presents an international musical scrapbook and audience favorites. From the American songbook, she includes selections by Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, Arthur Schwartz & Howard Dietz, George & Ira Gershwin, Maury Yeston, Adam Guettel, Carol King and John Denver. Raised abroad as the daughter of an American diplomat and an actress, she pays tribute to her European roots with Parisian chanson, Viennese operetta and Italian opera, and pays homage to such artists as Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich. Ms. Bergman enjoys an international career performing in concerts, cabaret, theatre, opera, music festivals, with symphony orchestras, on television and recordings.
