S.F.: MARTHA REEVES QUEEN OF MOTOWN AT THE RRAZZ
The Queen of Motown, Martha Reeves, will perform at RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189 ) Tuesday through Saturday, January 11th through 15th at 8:00 pm. Named by Rolling Stone as one of music's "Top 100 Immortal Artists," Martha Reeves began her career singing at Detroit nightclubs, before Mickey Stevenson, head of A&R at a fledgling record company named Motown, discovered her. Reeves is the recipient of a Rhythm n' Blues Foundation Pioneer Award, and has been inducted in the Alabama, Soul, Rock and Roll, and Vocal Group halls of fame. She will present an up close and personal show of her hits, along with jazz, blues and gospel selections. There is a $40-$45 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
