NYC: JANET PLANET SINGS THE BOB DYLAN SONGBOOK
Jazz vocalist Janet Planet celebrates the release of her new album, "Janet Planet Sings the Bob Dylan Songbook," at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday & Friday, January 13th & 14th at 9:30 pm and on Saturday, January 15th at 7:00 pm. She is joined by Tom Theabo on guitar, Dan Loomis on bass, and Ross Pederson on drums. The spirited and vivacious Janet Planet is a productive recording artist, performer, teacher and clinician, her concert schedule takes her to performance halls, universities, jazz festivals and clubs across the USA and internationally. The 2009 release of her album, "Of Thee I Sing," garnered international attention, airplay and unanimous praise from critics, fans and musicians alike. Her new "Dylan Songbook" album focuses on Dylan's early compositions. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
