Stearns Matthews will present his latest solo cabaret show, "this will be ..." at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATER(407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Saturdays, October 30th and November 6th, both performances at 4:00 pm. The show features direction by 2010 MAC Award winner Lennie Watts and musical direction by multiple award winner Steven Ray Watkins. "this will be ..." is the narrative of Stearns' current "quarter-life crisis" and features songs drawn from a variety of genres: "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash, "Dancing Girls" by Nik Kershaw, "Are You Sure?" by Willie Nelson, "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" by Chuck Jackson and Marvin Yancy, "One Way Ticket" by Bruce Hart and Stephen Lawrence, and "If You Really Knew Me" by Carole Bayer-Sager and Marvin Hamlisch. Stearns was a 2009 MAC Award nominee for his solo show, "I Was Here". Stearns holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Westminster Choir College. In 2009, he presented a critically acclaimed duet show, "50 Years Experience ... 25 Years in the Making." with long-time friend and collaborator Megan Candio.
