L.A.AREA: CD RELEASE CONCERT - RICKY RUIS "WALK WORTHY"
Sher Krieger's CELEBRATION CABARET (5820 Oberlin Drive #108, San Diego, CA - 858-320-0090) presents the CD Release Concert for Ricky Ruis's "Walk Worthy" on Saturday, October 30th at 6:00 pm. Ruis is a "fingerstyle" guitarist who has a flawless sound ranging from jazz to gospel to bluegrass. Though only in his early 20s, Ricky already plays with the panache of a master three times his age. Some of his influences are Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel, and many others combining a large variety of techniques yet sustaining a sound that is unique to himself. Ricky has been playing the guitar from the age of 14. He gained his love for the guitar listening to the classics, growing up with influences in everything from gospel to bluegrass. His mother's roots in music strengthened his passion to master the strings. Tickets are $7.50 for adults or $12.50 per family.
