Heartbeats of the World, Inc. presents An Evening with Steve Ross at the KAUFMAN CENTER at the MERKIN CONCERT HALL(129 West 67th Street, NYC - 212-501-3330 - ) on Wednesday, October 27th at 8:00 pm. Steve Ross is acclaimed the foremost interpreter of the music of Cole Porter, Noel Coward and Stephen Sondheim, and has performed at leading cabaret and concert venues throughout the world, including the Oak Room at the Hotel Algonquin, Cafe Carlyle, the Stanhope, Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Last year, Steve gave a highly acclaimed performance at Merkin Concert Hall benefitting the not-for-profit charity Heartbeats of the World. This year he has graciously volunteered to perform the songs of Porter, Coward, Sondheim and other great composers. Heartbeats of the World (HOW) is a 501 (c)(3) Not-for-profit charitable organization who's mission is to enrich the lives of women, adolescents, and children in underserved areas of the world by providing medical resources and educational opportunities to address poverty, unemployment and the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, and teenage pregnancy. Through prevention and training, we will diminish the impact of these conditions and improve lives.. Contributions are deductible for federal income tax purposes to the extent permitted by law. Regular ticket prices $25, $50, $75. Tax deductible tickets are available at $75 and $50. Patron tickets $250, includes Premiere seat location, Pre-concert VIP Reception at 7:00 PM, Program listing, CD recording of the concert, chance to win round trip plane ticket for two (2) to the Caribbean ($180 of which is tax deductible).
