A very special evening with Nicki Parrott bass/vocals and Musical Director John DiMartino on piano will be premiered on Thursday, September 23rd at 9:30 pm at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). It is conceived and directed by Michael Bush. Nicki Parrott is a world renowned double bassist and jazz vocalist. In addition to performing at most of the world's top jazz festivals, Nicki has performed with such jazz greats as Randy Brecker, Skitch Henderson, Clark Terry, Jose Feliciano, Rebecca Paris, Bucky Pizzarelli, John Pizzarelli, Dick Hyman, Patti Labelle & the New York Pops Orchestra, DIVA, Harry Allen, Red Holloway, Michel Legrand, Marlena Shaw, Mike Stern, David Krakauer, Howard Alden, Randy Sandke, Warren Vache, Ken Peplowski, and Johnny Varro. Nicki also performs regularly on Monday nights at the Iridium Jazz Club as part of the legendary Les Paul Trio where she accompanied and sang with Les for over 10 years. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
