NYC: MABEL MERCER NY CABARET CONVENTION - OCTOBER 7TH - 9TH
FEATURED CABARET ORGANIZATION EVENT

The 21st New York Cabaret Convention will be presented by THE MABEL MERCER FOUNDATION on Thursday through Saturday, October 7th through 9th at FREDERICK P. ROSE HALL (Columbus Circle, Broadway at 60th Street, NYC - CenterCharge: 212-721-6500 - ). Created in 1985 as a not-for-profit arts organization, The Mabel Mercer Foundation serves to both perpetuate the memory and spirit of its legendary namesake and to stimulate and promote public interest in the fragile and endangered world of cabaret.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7th: Gala Opening Night, with Klea Blackhurst, Carole Bufford, Barbara Carroll, Jeff Harnar, Nicole Henry, Barb Jungr, Amanda King, Andrea Marcovicci, Sue Mathys, Marilyn Maye. Presentation of The Mabel Mercer Award to A Very Special Artist. Presentation of the "Award of Appreciation" Citation to Marian Seldes by Angela Lansbury.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8th: The Noel Coward Foundation & The Mabel Mercer Foundation present "If Love Were All"/The Timeless Words & Music of Noel Coward. Special appearance by Elaine Stritch; with Nancy Anderson, Christine Ebersole, Gregg Edelman, Nicolas King, Sidney Myer, Sarah Rice, Steve Ross, Craig Rubano, Jennifer Sheehan, KT Sullivan. Presentation of the first annual "Noel Coward Cabaret Award" to Jennifer Sheehan.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9th: Songs for a Saturday Night, with Karen Akers, Kevin Dozier, Malcolm Gets, Tanya Holt, Karen Mason, Stearns Matthews, Amanda McBroom, Karen Oberlin, Johnny Rodgers, Isabel Rose, Avery Sommers, Lumiri Tubo. Presentation of The Julie Wilson Award to Nicolas King.


Tickets for all shows are available at the box office, Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; Sunday, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and at Center Charge at 212-721-6500.
