Jizel Music's The Take the Mic cabaret class participants perform in the final concert of their 8-week workshop series at one of San Francisco's most legendary rooms, THE CIRQUE ROOM at THE FAIRMONT HOTEL (950 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 800-838-3006) on Sunday, August 29th at 6:00 pm. Taking part will be Paul Arleo, Donald Arquilla, Diane Cohen, Joe Cohen, Maria Diamond, Jonathan Francis, Diane Kluft, Richard Lee, Tom Nicastro, Liz Pasha and Mary Haley Young with host Linda Kosut and musical direction by Dave Miotke. The Cirque Room is a 1935 Art Deco lounge which was the first bar to open in San Francisco following prohibition. Decorated by architect Tim Pflueger and still displaying its original murals by the celebrated Bruton sisters, the Cirque Room was once THE entertainment room in the City. It is scheduled for renovation soon. Everyone is invited to celebrate the talent and advances made by the participants in our class, and to experience a night of entertainment in the Cirque Room before the renovations begin. See http://www.jizelmusic.com/ for more details. There is a $12 cover plus a 1-drink minimum.
