TODAY IN NYC: ORFEH AT FEINSTEIN'S IN "LOVE AND OTHER COVERS" - ONE NIGHT ONLY
FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095) presents the return of pop star and Tony-nominated actress, Orfeh on Monday, August 30th at 8:30 pm. For her new show, "Love and Other Covers," Orfeh brings her original versions of old and new hits to Feinstein's for a night of musical surprises and special guests. ORFEH - most familiar to theater audiences for her Tony nominated turn as Paulette, the unlucky-in-love Bostonian hairdresser who becomes best friends to Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical - made her Broadway debut in the fall of 1998 in the original company of Footloose. During the 1999 run of Saturday Night Fever as Tony Manero's jilted sidekick Annette, she caught the eye of Rosie O'Donnell, who immediately booked Orfeh on her popular talk show. She's also been seen on the Broadway stage in The Gershwins' Fascinating Rhythm and in highly-touted Actors' Fund of America benefit concerts of Dreamgirls and Hair. Her off-Broadway credits include Love, Janis and The Great American Trailer Park Musical. There is a $40-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
