TODAY IN NYC: MEREDITH PATTERSON "SWEET OLD FASHIONED GIRL" ONE NIGHT ONLY AT FEINSTEIN'S

FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095 - ) the debut of Broadway's Meredith Patterson in her solo show, "Sweet Old Fashioned Girl" on Tuesday, August 31st at 8:30 pm. For her show at Feinstein's she'll combine classics from the Great American Songbook with jazz standards and contemporary pop tunes including "For All We Know," "One Note Samba" and Madonna's hit "Burning Up". The show features musical direction and arrangements by Emmy Award nominee Rob Berman, in addition to Ross Patterson on piano, Tom Hubbard on bass, Ron Affif on guitar, Tony Tedesco on drums. Meredith Patterson recently starred as Gwen Greene in the new musical Radio Girl at Goodspeed's Norma Terris Theater. She made her soap opera debut as Francesca on ABC's "All My Children," was featured in the critically acclaimed documentary Every Little Step, and originated the role of Judy Haynes on Broadway in Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Ms. Patterson is best known in the theater world for her amazing life imitating art story of being plucked out of the chorus to star as Peggy Sawyer in her first Broadway musical, 2001's Tony Award winning revival of 42nd Street. There is a $30-$40 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
