NYC: TERRI WHITE IN HER NEW SHOW "LIFE IS GOOD!"
FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095 - ) presents the debut of Broadway's Terri White on Monday, May 3rd at 8:30 pm, plus a special Mother's Day performance on Sunday, May 9th at 7:30 pm. After her triumphant return to Broadway in Finian's Rainbow she'll make her Feinstein's debut with "Life Is Good!" a show about new love, renewed hope, cherished memories, and old friends featuring everything from the Blues to Broadway with favorites including "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" and "Necessity." The show features Bobby Peaco on piano and Jay Leonhart on bass. Ms. White, who will soon star as Mama Morton in Chicago on Broadway, has been in several Broadway and Off-Broadway shows including the recent revival of Finian's Rainbow. She also starred as the original Joice Heth in Barnum with Jim Dale and Glenn Close and as Nell Carter's understudy in 1978 in Ain't Misbehavin', later replacing her in the revival in 1988 with Patti Austin and won an Obie award for her work in The Club. Both shows have a $40-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
