NYC PICK: "HOME SHOPPING DIVA" SINGS SOME ORIGINALS
After thirteen years writing, recording and promoting her five original contemporary folk/rock albums, singer/songwriter Meg Flather returned to her Cabaret roots and DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) with her show, "Home Shopping Diva, songs of love, loss, & lipstick" is inspired by Flather's second career as a popular cosmetics salesperson on domestic and international home shopping TV channels. Now she is giving that show a little break in order to revisit some of her original tunes from my first five albums on Friday, May 21st at 9:15 pm. She will also will be debuting two new songs she completed over the last year. She will again be joined by her rocking band featuring Paul Greenwood, John Mettam and Jamie Rogers, Flather. Meg Flather has appeared on QVC, Shop NBC, HSN, TVSN (Australia), and The Shopping Channel (Canada) as one of TV's most successful cosmetic salespersons. At the same time, she has enjoyed a life-long parallel career as a singer and songwriter. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
