N.E.AREA: JOHN ABERNATHY AT THE SPEAKEASY IN PROVIDENCE
Rhode Island singer John Abernathy brings his show "Live Out Loud!" to THE SPEAKEASY @ LOCAL 121 (121 Washington Street, Providence, RI - 401-274-2121) on Friday, May 21st at 9:00 pm. Live Out Loud! features contemporary Broadway and Cabaret music written by Stephen Sondheim, Kander and Ebb, Elton John, Andrew Lippa, William Finn, and more, all of whom are out and proud members of the GLBT community. Backed by Tom LaMark on piano, the show is directed by IRNE Award winner Ida Zecco. A CD of the show "Live Out Loud!" which was recorded live at the Hi-Hat in Providence last year, will be available at the show. Proceeds of the show will benefit "Marriage Equality Rhode Island." There is a 25 cover.
