NYC: ERIC COMSTOCK AT CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA

Eric Comstock continues his residency at New York's newest music venue, CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA(178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) from 8:00 pm to midnight every Tuesday night. An acknowledged master of the American Songbook, Comstock has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and virtually every important nightclub in New York and across the country. He is one of only a handful of singer/pianists who can command a room merely by sitting at the piano, singing and telling stories. In addition to his extensive knowledge of repertoire, Comstock has a seemingly unending supply of anecdotes about the songs, the writers, and the stars who sang them. His unique combination of musicianship, history and charisma creates an experience that is as entertaining as it is musically savvy, and his audiences feel they've been to a terrific party where the music and the stories have been equally great. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: CARLY OZARD CHANNELS "DIVINE MISS M" IN "MIDLER ON THE ROOF"

Carly Ozard brings her show 'Divine Miss M' to STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) on Tuesday, October 7th at 7:00 pm. Since moving to New York City two years ago, Carly Ozard has headlined distinguished cabaret venues including the Laurie Beechman Theatre, the Duplex, and the Iridium. Carly is raising the stakes even further with her personal and powerful new show 'Midler on the Roof' - which she describes as "a musical journey of Divine intervention." Midler on the Roof is directed by Kristine Zbornik, a noted cabaret and Broadway performer and teacher, who has added extra zing to Carly's characteristically candid humor. Growing up in a small Northern California town that offered few artistic opportunities, Carly was severely bullied because of her flair for theater, singing, and sequins. Her mother introduced her to the Divine Miss M at age 6, and Bette Midler's music soon became the soundtrack of Carly's adolescence-a source of comfort and "musical therapy." In 'Midler on the Roof', Carly portrays her younger self from elementary through high school as she faces her fears, finds her voice, and gradually learns to embrace her unique identity as a budding performer. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
